Washington, D.C. – Chairman Jodey Arrington issued a statement today after voting in favor of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which he cosponsored. The act requires states to obtain proof of citizenship when registering individuals to vote and mandates the removal of non-citizens from existing voter rolls.

"Allowing non-citizens to vote in elections is unconscionable and un-American - it incentivizes more illegal immigration, rewards Biden’s open border policies, and, worst of all, it undermines the Constitution and Americans’ ability to choose their representatives. American citizens – and only American citizens – have the sacred right to vote in elections in the United States," Arrington stated.
