Representative Jake Ellzey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 6th District since 2021, frequently uses social media to share messages with his constituents. On Easter Sunday, Ellzey shared thoughts of reflection and celebration with his followers, highlighting aspects of faith and community engagement.

In a tweet posted on April 20, 2025, Ellzey shared, "Today is a day that we remember that whoever believes in him shall not parish, but have everlasting life. Happy Easter Everyone!" The message, however, contained a typographical error referring to "parish" instead of "perish."

Later that day, Ellzey tweeted again with a corrected version, stating, "Today is a day that we remember that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Happy Easter Everyone!" His messages emphasized the themes of faith traditionally associated with Easter celebrations.

On April 22, 2025, Ellzey shifted his focus to local economic conversations, mentioning his time in Hillsboro. He commented, "Started my morning in Hillsboro with great conversations and with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce. It’s a blessing to spend time with folks who are passionate about building a strong local business community." This reflects Ellzey's ongoing interest in engaging with and supporting local business communities.

Ellzey, 53, was born in Amarillo, Texas, and currently resides in Midlothian. He succeeded Ron Wright in Congress and also has a history of legislative service in the Texas House of Representatives.
