Today, House Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington from Texas responded to President Donald J. Trump's recent address to Congress. In his speech, the President encouraged congressional leaders to initiate the reconciliation process.

Arrington expressed support for the President's approach, stating: "The president has wasted no time in reversing course on the self-inflicted disasters of the Biden administration by advancing America First policies that will strengthen our economy, restore our security, and renew the American Dream for generations to come."

He highlighted efforts made by House Republicans: "House Republicans have done their part by passing the FY25 Budget Resolution that advances President Trump’s full economic and security agenda while putting our nation on a path to balance."

Emphasizing the significance of the budget resolution, Arrington added: "The House Budget resolution is more than numbers on a ledger; it’s a promissory note to the American people and our children to preserve the American Dream against an unwieldy government."

Arrington called upon his Senate colleagues to act swiftly: "I urge my Senate colleagues to move with the urgency that this historic moment requires by quickly passing the House Budget Resolution and unlocking President Trump’s America First agenda."
