Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, along with several other committee chairmen, have expressed unified support for the GOP budget resolution. The statement comes as the House of Representatives prepares to vote on the Trump-endorsed resolution this week.
Chairman Arrington and his colleagues from various committees, including Agriculture, Armed Services, Education and Workforce, Energy and Commerce, Financial Services, Natural Resources, Oversight, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Ways and Means, released a joint statement. They emphasized that the proposed budget aims to advance President Trump's policy agenda.
"The House’s ‘one big beautiful bill’ delivers on the entirety of President Trump’s policy agenda—providing tax relief for working families and small businesses," they stated. It also focuses on "unleashing American energy," reducing unnecessary spending, dismantling current regulations under the Biden-Harris administration, securing borders, strengthening military capabilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility by reducing debt-to-GDP ratio.
The chairmen underscored the importance of taking decisive action at this critical time to fulfill what they describe as President Trump's America First Agenda. "We look forward to the House passing this consequential piece of legislation to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN," their statement concluded.
