Washington, D.C. – House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington, representing Texas's 19th district, has initiated a legislative effort to challenge immigration policies implemented by the Biden administration. Arrington and his colleagues have introduced three Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions aiming to block certain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations.

Chairman Arrington criticized President Biden and Vice President Harris for policies he claims prioritize illegal immigrants over American workers. "President Biden and Failed-Border Czar Harris habitually put America Last for four years," said Arrington. He expressed his intention to collaborate with former President Trump to restore rule of law and ensure the safety of American citizens.

Congressman Keith Self, a cosponsor of the CRAs, supported the initiative stating, "This is exactly the effort Congress must undertake to overturn the burn-it-down actions the Biden administration continues to pursue on its way out."

The proposed CRAs target specific expansions in visa programs and work permits:

- They aim to reverse changes in the H1B visa program that allegedly lack safeguards against fraud and abuse.

- The resolutions also seek to roll back expansions in the H2 visa program which reportedly move requirements for employers' compliance with E-Verify.

- Additionally, they address extensions of work permits for illegal aliens up to 540 days.
