Today, Jodey Arrington, the House Budget Chairman from Texas's 19th District, was sworn into office as part of the 119th Congress in Washington, D.C. In a statement released following the ceremony, Arrington expressed his gratitude and commitment to his constituents.

"It is an honor to represent the Food, Fuel, and Fiber Capital of the World in the United States Congress," Arrington stated. He emphasized his dedication to serving West Texans who have entrusted him with this role.

Arrington outlined his priorities for this term in Congress. "This Congress, we have a historic opportunity to accomplish big things for the American people - from securing the border and restoring rule of law to reining-in a woke and wasteful bureaucracy and unleashing prosperity once again," he said.

Reflecting on his oath-taking moment, Arrington acknowledged various influences in his life. "As I took the oath of office today, I reflected on God’s providence in the life of our country (and His grace in mine), the awesome responsibility of governing our great nation," he noted. He also thanked his family, friends, and fellow West Texans for their support throughout his journey.

Concluding his remarks, Arrington expressed hope for future leadership: "May God grant us the wisdom and courage to serve well and leave a safer, stronger, and freer America for generations to come."
