House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-TX) appeared on "Mornings with Maria" on Fox Business to discuss the economic policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, Vice President Kamala Harris's influence, and border issues.
Chairman Arrington criticized Vice President Harris's role in shaping what he described as a failed economic agenda. "I know Vice President Harris because I think she's had the greatest influence over the failed economic agenda of this Administration," he stated. He further commented on her political stance, saying, "She is the left. She's to the left of Bernie Sanders, according to nonpartisan scorekeepers in terms of her legislation."
Addressing economic policies, Arrington said, "The $7 trillion in deficit spending, the paying people not to work... has created a cost-of-living crisis." He attributed high interest rates and unaffordable housing and car prices to these policies.
On Harris's broader policy positions, Arrington remarked, “It’s tens of trillions of dollars for the Green New Disaster... It's 30 plus trillion dollars for this single payer system.” He warned that such policies would lead to significant debt and damage to the economy.
Discussing border issues, Arrington recalled Harris's past statements as a presidential candidate advocating for decriminalizing illegal crossings and abolishing ICE. "She has de facto abolished ICE and the border patrol with this open border policy," he claimed.
