City of Idalou issued the following announcement on Oct. 13.
The Idalou Police Department will be conducting a Halloween Safety Saturation Patrol the evening of October 31st. There will be additional officers patrolling Idalou to help ensure our kids have both a fun and safe Halloween. If your kids would like get some treats and police sticker badges, Chief Williams and Officer Stripling will be parking in front of City Hall from 6:00pm until 8:00pm to give them away. We ask that as you and your kids trick-or-treat to be mindful of traffic safety.
If you plan to consume alcohol, find a sober driver. The department will be conducting enhanced patrolling for DWI detection as well.
