House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington recently visited the Ice House in Abilene, Texas. The restaurant was recognized as the winner of the 2025 Downtown Abilene Burger Brawl.
Arrington commented on his visit, stating, "Stopped for a great lunch at the Ice House in Abilene. It’s no surprise they won the honor of Downtown Abilene Burger Brawl Champion for 2025. Great food and great people! Republicans are standing up for our small businesses by fighting for lower taxes, regulatory relief, and lower energy prices so our job creators of all kinds can Make America Prosperous Again!"
The Ice House's "Lone Star Stacker," a brisket chili smashburger topped with Shiner beer cheese, was among nine local burgers competing in the event. The competition resulted in 3,068 burgers sold and generated $46,380 for the local economy.
