Jake Ellzey, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 6th district, recently shared several updates on social media, touching on significant political events and personal anecdotes. Known for his active engagement with constituents, Ellzey's recent posts provide insight into his activities and sentiments.

On March 5, 2025, Ellzey expressed pride in being present on the House Floor to listen to former President Donald Trump address the nation. In his post, he emphasized his commitment to working alongside colleagues for a more prosperous future for Americans. "It is a privilege to be on the House Floor today, listening to President Trump address our nation. I'm proud to stand with my colleagues as we work toward a stronger, more prosperous future for all Americans."

Later that day, Ellzey conveyed condolences following the death of Sylvester Turner. He described Turner as a fellow Texan and friend while expressing sympathy for Turner's family during their time of loss. Ellzey urged Texans to join him and his wife Shelby in prayer for Turner's family. "I’m saddened to hear of the passing of Sylvester Turner, a fellow Texan, a friend, and a colleague. Losing a loved one is never easy, and my heart goes out to his family during this difficult time."

In another update posted later that evening, Ellzey humorously recounted an encounter with his Tax Assessor/Collector in Washington D.C., reassuring followers that all dues were settled after confirming with Shelby. "You know you’re in trouble when your Tax Assessor/Collector tracks you down all the way in Washington."
