CITY OF O'DONNELL: Sale And Discharge Of Fireworks Is Prohibited In City Limits

Firecracers

City of O'Donnell issued the following announcement on June 15.

With the 4th of July approaching its a good time to remind the community that the sale and discharge of fireworks is prohibited in City limits. This Ordinance was established in August of 1979 and was revised during the last City Council meeting to make minor changes removing portions not related to fireworks and include the sale of fireworks. It also makes a revision to delegate the approval for fireworks celebrations to the City Fire Marshall.

Lynn County disaster declarations take superior authority over any City ordinance or declaration. There is currently a Declaration of Disaster and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning this includes sale and use of fireworks. This affects all of Lynn County including the City O’Donnell. Dawson County currently does not have burn ban.
