Lubbock human trafficking operation leads to 11 arrests

Eleven individuals in the Lubbock area were recently arrested in a human trafficking operation.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) news release, nine of those arrested were charged with soliciting prostitution. The charge was a second degree felony for eight of the individuals because of their attempt to engage in sexual conduct with a minor.

The arrested suspects were Steven Ray Bailey, 45; Malcolm Xeruzar Dixon-White, 24; Troy Brandon Fillingim, 44; Sara Kay Huebbie, 32; Ronald Marlin Martin, 73; Joshua Gregory Misenhimer, 29; Omado Morales, Jr, 36; Bhavik Patel, 29; Jason Mark Perez, 45; Jeremy C Randall, 38; and Salvador Ybarra, 54.

The Texas Attorney General website states that there are 234,000 victims of labor trafficking and 79,000 victims of youth and minor sexual trafficking in Texas. There are 25 million victims of human trafficking worldwide.
