House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington has issued a statement following former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of the House Republican budget framework. The framework aligns with Trump’s America First agenda, aiming to deliver comprehensive legislation in a single bill.
Chairman Arrington emphasized the alignment with Trump's request for "One, BIG Beautiful Bill," stating that the House Budget Committee's proposal is pro-growth, pro-energy, and supportive of working families. He highlighted its focus on cutting taxes, regulations, and waste while providing resources for border patrol agents and troops.
"Republicans in both chambers should follow Trump’s lead - endorse it, unlock the most consequential legislation in modern history, and Make America Great Again!" said Arrington.
In a separate statement released earlier today, Trump praised the collaborative efforts between the House and Senate. He contrasted this with previous legislative attempts by other Republicans like Lindsey Graham. "The House Resolution implements my FULL America First Agenda," Trump stated. He urged both chambers to pass the budget to initiate the reconciliation process needed for comprehensive legislative action.
