Today, the House Budget Committee approved the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025. This marks a significant step for House Republicans in advancing President Trump's America First agenda. The resolution was passed with 21 votes in favor and 16 against.
Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) shared his thoughts following the passage of the resolution. He stated, "The resolution passed out of Committee today is a blueprint to right-size the bloated federal bureaucracy, rein-in the reckless spending that spurred record inflation, and roll back the barrage of burdensome regulations that are crushing our small businesses."
Arrington emphasized the importance of this moment, saying, "It’s time to meet this generational moment and join President Trump in making the tough decisions that preserve our republic for our children and grandchildren. This is our last, best shot to do it. This is the only comprehensive deal Congress has on the table to get the job done. Let’s get to work!"
