House passes bill to bar non-citizen voting in D.C. elections

Washington, D.C. – Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued a statement following the House passage of H.R. 192, which aims to prohibit non-citizens from voting in elections in the District of Columbia.

"Allowing non-citizens to vote in elections is unacceptable and un-American - it incentivizes more illegal immigration, rewards Biden’s open border policies, and, worst of all, it dilutes the vote of the American people. American citizens – and only American citizens – have the sacred right to vote in elections in the United States," said Arrington.
