There were 588 students enrolled in New Home ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 58.2% of them were boys, and 41.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 76.7% of the New Home ISD total enrollment.

New Home ISD roughly covers schools within Lynn County with its main office in New Home.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
