Lubbock-Cooper ISD Education: 7,592 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 7,592 students enrolled in Lubbock-Cooper ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 53.3% of the Lubbock-Cooper ISD total enrollment.

Lubbock-Cooper ISD roughly covers schools within Lubbock County with its main office in Lubbock.

Among the 10 schools in Lubbock-Cooper ISD, Lubbock-Cooper High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,033 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
