City of O'Donnell issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
Cases are on the rise in Lynn County and surrounding counties/communities. Hospital Capacity still remains over the 15% threshold and has been for the last 10 days. As of yesterday there were 243 individuals in hospital with 69 of them in ICU. Cases increased by 673 for Lubbock in one day.
Effective immediately and until further notice City Hall will be closed to the general public. Access will be granted on a case by case basis or by appointment. Masks will be required when entering City Hall.
City employees will still be available to assist customers and to process payments. Payments can be made by phone using a credit/debit card, drop off using the door slot located on the wooden door, or online at www.officialpayments.com. To make a payment by phone please call City Hall at (806)428-3239.
The Community Center is closed for public rental until further notice. NOTE****Elections will still be held at Community Center on Election Day, November 3rd for Lynn County residents and at the Farmer's Co-op for Dawson County residents. Masks will be required.
The closures will be re-evaluated weekly and will reopen once hospital capacity in Trauma Area 6 has been under 15% for a minimum of 7 consecutive days

City of O'Donnell currently has 4 active cases.
Since cases in both Lynn County and Dawson County have exceeded the 30 active case threshold masks are required to be worn in public as required by the Governor of Texas unless you meet one of the exceptions per GA-29.

We encourage you to maintain social distance as much as feasibly possible, wear face coverings and limit unnecessary travel to areas outside of O'Donnell especially those areas considered as hot spots for the Virus.
