CITY OF O'DONNELL: Citizens Advisory Committee

Meeting

City of O'Donnell issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.

The City of O’Donnell would like to introduce the Citizens Advisory Committee. This committee was established in August 2020 to assist the City Council in addressing community needs and improvements.   The members are Chairman Cathy Palmer, Vice Chairman Mike Vedder, Secretary Frances Stephens and members Taylor Wood, Mike Renteria, Kathy Grant and Rachel Carrizales.

The committee has already been hard at work.  Some of the things  they are working on are plans to  add awnings, picnic tables and bbq pits at the City Park.   They are also working on ideas to add a walking path, playground, volleyball nets, and horseshoes.  These ideas are in the infancy stage of planning and strategizing.

Dr. Palmer has taken the lead to work with the school art teachers and students of all grades  to paint a mural of the side of laundry building.  The mural will be a reflection of the City’s history past and present.

The Citizens Advisory Committee meets the last Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm at City Hall unless otherwise posted.

Please reach out to anyone of these committee members with your ideas and comments.
