City of O'Donnell issued the following announcement on July 14.
Lynn County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating an escort of the body of Sheriff Abraham Vega from Dallas to Lubbock on Wednesday, July 15, which will be joined by other local and area law enforcement and first responders.
Lynn County citizens who want to show their respect may be stationed on the side of the road Wednesday on US 380 (from the Lynn County Law Enforcement Center to the US 87 turnoff in Tahoka) as the escort passes through Tahoka at approximately 3 p.m. on its way to Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock. Please line up starting around 2:30. If standing outside vehicles, officers ask that citizens please wear masks and social distance from others.
