The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lubbock are working together to provide sufficient, medical-grade face masks for businesses within city limits.
“We are excited about this partnership and appreciate the support of the City of Lubbock," Chamber President and CEO Eddie McBride said in a news release on the Chamber website. "We ask that businesses use these masks for their employees and offer to their customers as well as they enter their establishment."
City Manager Jarret Atkinson echoed those sentiments and said that while the current 80,000 masks on hand aren’t enough for every business in the city right now, the initial project is a good place to start.
“I want to thank the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce for its participation and for distributing these masks to all eligible businesses,” he said in the release.
Masks are available at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce office.
