Texas Tech defeats Mississippi State 8-0 in Women’s College World Series opener

Texas Tech secured an 8-0 win over Mississippi State to open their Women’s College World Series campaign on May 28 in Oklahoma City. Jackie Lis homered early while NiJaree Canady pitched four scoreless innings for the Red Raiders, who advance to face Tennessee next.

Bragg qualifies for nationals at NCAA West First Rounds in Fayetteville

Texas Tech freshman Jackson Bragg qualified for nationals after placing tenth in men’s pole vault during day two of NCAA West First Rounds held Thursday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Several women athletes also advanced or set personal records as competition continues into Saturday.
