Texas Tech women’s golf to compete in Huntington Bank Collegiate in Dallas

Texas Tech announced on Apr. 3 that its women’s golf team will close out the regular season at the Huntington Bank Collegiate, held April 6-7 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.

The tournament is significant as it marks the final event before postseason play for the Red Raiders. The field includes 16 teams, with five ranked in the national top 25 according to the April 1 Scoreboard/Clippd rankings: UCF (No. 13), UCLA (No. 15), Tennessee (No. 18), Oklahoma (No. 23), and Arizona (No. 25).

The Texas Tech lineup for this event features Denisa Vodickova, Klara Hurtova, Cameron Freund, Maja Ambroziak, and Danique Stokmans. The format is stroke play over three rounds totaling 54 holes—36 holes on Monday followed by a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.

In their previous outing at the MountainView Collegiate from March 20-22, Texas Tech finished second overall with a team score of -16. Individually, Vodickova led with a nine-under-par performance while Lauren Zaretsky tied for sixth place at six under par.

According to recent Clippd/Scoreboard National Rankings released April 1, Texas Tech holds a team ranking of No. 50 nationally and Zaretsky is ranked No.67 among individuals.

Looking ahead, Texas Tech will participate in the Big 12 Championship later this month and await potential selection for NCAA postseason competition.
