The Texas Tech men’s golf team was selected on May 6 to participate in the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships, according to an announcement made live on Golf Channel. The Red Raiders, ranked No. 7 nationally, received an at-large bid and will compete in the Corvallis Regional hosted by Oregon State from May 18 to May 20.
This selection marks the program’s 24th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Greg Sands and its 27th overall appearance. The Corvallis Regional will take place at Trysting Tree Golf Club, which features bentgrass greens and fairways along the Willamette River. The course underwent a redesign in 2017 that included three new holes by Dan Hixson.
Arkansas enters as the top seed for the regional, followed by Texas Tech as the No. 2 seed. Other top seeds include Oklahoma (No. 3), Charlotte (No. 4), and UCLA (No. 5). Host Oregon State is seeded tenth among thirteen teams competing at this site.
The Corvallis Regional is one of six sites hosting teams for three rounds of play over three days, with each location advancing its top five teams and one individual not on those teams to the NCAA Championship Finals scheduled for May 29 through June 3 at Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.
Texas Tech aims to qualify for its sixth straight NCAA Championship appearance and eighteenth overall as it competes against a field that includes Arkansas, Oklahoma, Charlotte, UCLA, Notre Dame, San Diego, Purdue, Georgia Southern, Oregon State, Liberty University (Conference USA automatic qualifier), Xavier University (Big East automatic qualifier), and Sacramento State (Big Sky automatic qualifier).
