House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued a statement after voting in favor of H.R. 9456, the Protecting American Agriculture from Foreign Adversaries Act. Arrington is an original cosponsor of the bill, which aims to defend American farmland against foreign ownership and bolster national security.
"Food security is national security. We must prevent the Chinese Communist Party from being able to intervene in our nation’s food supply and then weaponize it against us," said Arrington.
