Today, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) commemorated the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
"23 years ago, nearly 3,000 Americans were killed and thousands more injured when terrorists carried out the worst attack on U.S. soil in the history of our country," Arrington stated.
"I was working in the White House on 9/11 and will never forget that fateful day. Despite the grievous attack and tragic loss, we witnessed incredible courage and heroism followed by inspiring acts of faith, patriotism, and national unity."
Arrington added, "Our prayers continue for the families of the victims of 9/11 and our servicemembers who sacrificed their lives for our safety and security in the battles that followed. Let us never forget!"
