There were 305 students enrolled in Crosbyton CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 7.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.5% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 75.7% of the Crosbyton CISD total enrollment.

Crosbyton CISD roughly covers schools within Crosby County with its main office in Crosbyton.

Among the two schools in Crosbyton CISD, Crosbyton Secondary recorded the highest enrollment of 295 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
