How many students were enrolled in Tahoka ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 598 students enrolled in Tahoka ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.3% of them were boys, and 46.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 59.7% of the Tahoka ISD total enrollment.

Tahoka ISD roughly covers schools within Lynn County with its main office in Tahoka.

Among the three schools in Tahoka ISD, Tahoka Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 301 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
