Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center enrolls 1,520 undergrads

At Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, 54 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 84 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Lubbock enrolled 5,083 students in fall 2018, including 1,520 in undergraduate and 3,563 in graduate programs, data shows. 30.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (57 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (24 percent).
