Rep. Jodey Arrington, who represents Texas’ 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative developments and trade agreements relevant to his constituents.
On July 23, 2025, Arrington praised a new international agreement by stating, “President Trump’s trade deal with Indonesia is a massive win for the Food, Fuel, and Fiber Capital of the World! The agreement will boost West Texas cotton, wheat, and energy exports to the world’s fourth most populous country and eliminate tariffs on 99% of American goods.”
Later that day, he announced progress on a legislative initiative: “ICYMI: Arrington’s ‘No FED in West Texas’ Bill Advances” (July 23, 2025).
On July 24, Arrington acknowledged support for another policy measure: “Thank you to @secscottbessent for highlighting my ALIGN Act – the most pro-growth provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill – which made full and immediate expensing permanent! There’s no greater incentive in the tax code for job creation and economic expansion than allowing”.
Jodey Arrington has served as a member of Congress since 2017 after succeeding Randy Neugebauer. He was born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and currently resides in Lubbock. Arrington earned his BA from Texas Tech University in 1994.
