Rep. Jodey Arrington, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 19th congressional district, recently shared several updates on his social media platform, addressing topics ranging from local university leadership to national legislative achievements and holiday greetings.
On September 1, 2025, Arrington congratulated a new university leader in a post: “To my fellow West Texans and Red Raiders, please join me in congratulating our next Chancellor, @SenCreighton. I am at the ready to help Brandon “bear our banners far and wide” in our nation’s capital and beyond as he leads the greatest University System in all the land. Guns”.
Later that day, he marked the Labor Day holiday with a message to his constituents: “Happy Labor Day! Today, and every day, I’m grateful to represent the God-fearing, freedom-loving working families of West Texas.”
On September 3, 2025, Arrington commented on recent legislative developments: “The One Big Beautiful Bill is a big and beautiful win for the American people. Historic tax cuts, record investments in border security and national defense, unlocking America’s energy resources, and generational welfare reform — all while cutting $1.5 trillion in wasteful”.
Arrington has maintained strong electoral support throughout his tenure. In 2024, he won re-election against Nathan Lewis with over 80% of the vote. His previous victories include defeating Nathan Lewis again in 2022 with a similar margin, Tom Watson in 2020 with nearly 75% of the vote, Miguel Levario in 2018 with over 75%, and Troy Bonar in 2016 with almost 87%.
