Rep. Jodey Arrington, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, has recently used his social media platform to comment on government oversight, economic policy, and cultural values in higher education.

On December 5, 2025, Arrington addressed allegations of waste within the federal government, stating: “Democrats fought Republicans tooth and nail in our mission to root out $100B’s in waste, fraud, and abuse in the People’s government. Now we are learning that Democrats’ VP pick Tim Walz ignored hundreds of whistleblowers from his own agency while $100Ms in federal tax dollars”.

Later that day, he commented on recent economic developments under Republican leadership: “The American people gave President Trump and unified Republican leadership a mandate to reverse course on Democrats’ economic failures, and it’s already paying off. Thanks to the pro-growth, pro-work, pro-energy policies we have put in place, the economy is growing, wages are”.

On December 7, 2025, Arrington highlighted Texas Tech University as an example of traditional American values: “Texas Tech is America’s team. It’s a Main Street university in Middle America made up of mostly kids from working families. It’s a heartland culture that reflects our nation’s traditional faith and family values. Like our pioneering fathers who braved the harsh elements to”.

Arrington has represented Texas’s 19th congressional district since 2017 and has consistently won re-election by large margins. In the most recent election held in 2024, he defeated Nathan Lewis with over 80% of the vote. His previous victories include defeating Nathan Lewis again in 2022 with a similar margin; Tom Watson in 2020; Miguel Levario in 2018; and Troy Bonar in 2016—all by significant majorities.
