Rep. Jodey Arrington, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 19th district since 2017, recently shared his views on various issues via social media. Born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and currently residing in Lubbock, Arrington graduated from Texas Tech University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
On May 22, 2025, Arrington expressed concerns about the economic policies of the past four years. He stated that “The American people need relief from the last four years of failed economic policies and the unbridled spending that put a 20% regressive inflation tax on working families all across this great land.” Read more.
In another post on the same day, he highlighted several crises he believes have affected Americans negatively over recent years. He noted that “For four years, the American people suffered one self-inflicted crisis after another. From the chaos at our southern border to our crime ridden streets, to a cost-of-living crisis that decimated working families from sea to shining sea – leaving Americans weaker and our country” Read more.
Later that day, Arrington celebrated what he described as a significant legislative achievement by his party. He remarked: “What a day. What an extraordinary team effort.” He added that “@HouseGOP passed what will be the most comprehensive and consequential set of policy reforms in modern history.” Read more.
