The Red Raiders were announced as the No. 11 seed for the 2026 NCAA Tournament on May 10, setting up a Lubbock Regional for the second consecutive year. The selection was revealed by the NCAA Selection Committee during Sunday’s Selection Show.

This development means that Texas Tech will once again have home-field advantage in a key postseason event. Hosting an NCAA Regional is considered significant as it offers teams greater familiarity with their playing environment and support from local fans.

The Lubbock Regional will include Ole Miss, Boston University, and Marist. Texas Tech is scheduled to open regional play against Marist at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The regional tournament will begin Friday and continue through Sunday, with game times yet to be determined.

Season ticket holders and donors are set to receive priority access to tickets for the weekend’s games, while general public ticket sales are expected to open early this week. Organizers said more details about ticketing and scheduling will be shared when available.

As anticipation builds around the upcoming games, further updates regarding logistics and matchups are expected in the coming days.
