Rep. Jodey Arrington, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 19th congressional district, recently posted a series of updates on his social media account covering topics from college football achievements to health care reform and military investments.
On December 16, 2025, Arrington celebrated the success of Texas Tech University’s football team, stating: “SUN’S UP, GUNS UP! With 11 wins and a first-ever Big 12 Championship, the Red Raiders are knocking on the door of a national championship while showing the grit, class, and character that defines West Texas. Proud to celebrate @TexasTechFB and @JoeyMcGuireTTU today. #WreckEm”
The following day, December 17, he addressed ongoing legislative efforts regarding health care costs: “Republicans are bringing forward health care reforms that will actually lower costs. According to the Congressional Budget Office, our bill will reduce premiums by 11%! Meanwhile, Democrats are pushing a COVID-era, fraud-ridden subsidy that perpetuates a failed system that year”
On December 18, Arrington highlighted his meeting with Air Force officials: “Honored to host @SecAFOfficial at my office to talk about supporting our warfighters, including the historic investments being made to Dyess Air Force Base in support of the beddown of the next generation B-21 bomber.”
Arrington has maintained strong electoral support in his district over several election cycles. In 2024 he won re-election against Nathan Lewis with over 80% of the vote; similar margins were seen in previous contests dating back to his initial victory in 2016.
