Rep. Jodey Arrington, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 19th district since 2017, recently shared a series of posts on his Twitter account addressing key policy positions and legislative actions.
On February 2, 2026, Arrington endorsed Kevin Warsh for chair of the Federal Reserve. In his post, he stated, “Kevin Warsh is the right man to chair the Federal Reserve. As a strong leader with deep convictions for free people, free markets, and fiscal responsibility, Kevin will be critical to restoring the integrity of the Fed and putting pressure on Congress to get our fiscal house in” (posted February 2, 2026).
Arrington continued his commentary on February 4, 2026, focusing on recent legislative efforts by Republicans. He wrote, “Republicans are continuing to deliver the America First agenda. This week’s funding package cuts wasteful spending, refocuses federal agencies on their core missions, strengthens our national defense, and restores accountability by defunding woke initiatives. It is unfortunate” (posted February 4, 2026).
Later that same day, Arrington addressed health care reform and fiscal responsibility in another post: “Rather than propping up the failed systems Democrats created, we should empower Americans to become better informed consumers of their own health care. Read my op-ed on how reconciliation can save both our nation’s health care system and our nation’s balance sheet.” (posted February 4, 2026).
Arrington has maintained a strong presence in Texas politics over multiple election cycles. In the most recent general election in 2024, he defeated Nathan Lewis by securing over 80% of the vote; similar margins were seen in previous elections dating back to his initial victory over Troy Bonar in 2016. Arrington succeeded Randy Neugebauer as representative for Texas’ 19th district.
