Rep. Jodey Arrington, who represents Texas’ 19th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues on social media on February 5, 2026, focusing on Republican policy positions and recent legislative developments.

In a post from February 5, Arrington criticized claims made by Democrats regarding Republican policies. He stated, “I’m tired of the ridiculous Democrat false claims and fear-mongering. One of the most common lies? That Republicans are ripping away services from children, disabled Americans, and veterans. The truth: Republicans are rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse while protecting”.

Later that day, Arrington commented on the state of prescription drug delivery in the United States and referenced recent legislative action involving former President Trump. He wrote on February 5: “While America leads the world in medical innovation, our prescription drug delivery system has fundamental flaws that cost patients and taxpayers alike. This week, President Trump took a BIG step in addressing this by signing my Better Deals and Lower Prices Act into law.”

In another post dated February 5, Arrington outlined what he sees as effective Republican strategies for economic and healthcare reform. He stated: “Republicans have the power, the policies, and the best tool right now to right the ship on affordability, health care, and spending. We already know what works: freedom, competition, choice, transparency, and accountability. Less government, not more. If we don’t take advantage”.

Arrington has held his congressional seat since succeeding Randy Neugebauer in 2017. He has maintained significant electoral support over multiple election cycles—defeating Nathan Lewis with over 80% of the vote in both 2022 and 2024—and previously winning against Tom Watson in 2020 with nearly three-quarters of votes cast.
