Rep. Jodey Arrington, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 19th district since 2017, recently highlighted legislative developments and local achievements in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On July 15, 2025, Arrington described the passage of new legislation as significant for both the nation and his constituents. He stated, “The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is the most comprehensive and consequential set of conservative reforms in modern history. It’s not only a big beautiful win for the nation, but a big beautiful win for West Texas!” Later that day, he reiterated his support for the bill’s impact on his region by posting, “The One Big Beautiful Bill is a big win for the hardworking, God-fearing, freedom-loving people of West Texas.”
On July 16, 2025, Arrington shifted focus to recognize an individual from his home state. He wrote, “Today, I spoke on the House floor to honor Dr. Tedd Mitchell, Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, for 15 years of dedicated service to Red Raider nation and the great State of Texas.”
Arrington was born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and currently resides in Lubbock. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994 and succeeded Randy Neugebauer as representative for Texas’ 19th district.
