Texas Tech’s Connor Graham and Tim Wiedemeyer have been selected to compete in the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup, which will take place from July 3-5 at Tralee Golf Links in West Barrow, Ireland, according to a May 5 announcement. Both athletes will represent the International Men’s Team, with their selections announced live on the Golf Channel.
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual Ryder Cup-style competition that brings together top men’s and women’s collegiate golfers from around the world. The United States faces off against an International team each year, with hosting duties alternating between U.S. and international venues. This year’s selection marks Graham’s second appearance after competing in 2025, while it is Wiedemeyer’s first time participating.
It is also notable for Texas Tech as this is the first time since 2019 that two Red Raiders have been named to the same team. Previous Texas Tech participants include Ivan Ramirez and Sandy Scott in 2019. Since its inception thirty years ago, more than a dozen Texas Tech golfers have taken part in the event.
The event features three days of match play formats: Four-Ball, Foursomes, and Singles matches. Each team consists of twenty-four players—twelve men and twelve women—including one coach’s pick per gender. Graham was previously selected as a coach’s pick for Team International during his debut appearance last year.
Among universities represented this year, Florida leads with five selections followed by Southern California with four; Auburn, Texas, and Texas A&M each have three representatives while Arizona State, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest each field two competitors on their respective teams.
Since its founding thirty years ago, over two hundred fifty Arnold Palmer Cup alumni have gone on to play professionally on tours such as PGA or LPGA Tours; forty-six former participants have competed in major international events like the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup.
