Dustin Burrows, a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 83 since 2015, shared updates on his recent activities and political endorsements through a series of tweets in early February 2026.
On February 1, Burrows recounted the conclusion of goose hunting season in Lubbock County. He wrote, “Last day of goose season, and we made it count in Lubbock County. Brought in some friends from East Texas who can shoot — Rep. @CodyHarrisTX and Rep. @ColeHefnerTX — and put 20 birds on the ground, making the most of the final day. The best part was sharing it with the next”.
Two days later, on February 3, Burrows voiced his support for fellow lawmaker Cole Hefner’s re-election campaign while visiting East Texas’ House District 5. In his post he stated, “Great to be in HD 5 today—right in the heart of East Texas—standing with Chairman @ColeHefnerTX as he runs for re-election to continue serving the region as a strong conservative voice in the Capitol. Cole Hefner is a real fighter for our state. As Chair of the Homeland”.
On February 4, Burrows continued his public showings by attending an event with Representative Ellen Troxclair’s community in House District 19. He tweeted, “Enjoyed spending time with the HD 19 community tonight showing my continued support for Rep. @EllenTroxclair. Ellen is a strong defender of liberty and accountability in the Texas House, advancing government efficiency, common-sense policies, and our shared conservative”.
Burrows has served as a state representative since succeeding Charles Perry in 2015 after being elected to represent District 83.
