Dustin Burrows, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 83rd district since 2015, used his social media platform to reflect on legislative achievements and extend New Year’s greetings as 2025 ended and 2026 began.
On December 31, 2025, Burrows posted: “As 2025 comes to a close, I’m proud to reflect on the historic achievements the Texas Legislature delivered for our state and the next generation of Texans. This year, lawmakers took decisive action to prepare Texas for a bright future: securing a record $8.5 billion investment”.
He followed up with a message in the early hours of January 1, 2026: “Happy New Year! As we step into a new chapter, I’m grateful for the people and values that make our state strong. May God continue to bless Texas in 2026!”
Later that day, Burrows also posted: “It’s time. #WreckEm | #CFBPlayoff”
Burrows has served in the Texas State House since replacing Charles Perry in 2015. He represents District 83 and is affiliated with the Republican Party.
