Dustin Burrows, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 83rd district since 2015, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative developments and respond to national events.
On August 25, 2025, Burrows posted about legislative achievements in the Texas House: “Speaker Dustin Burrows Touts House Passage of Major Special Session Priorities #txlege https://t.co/5VZ0xAzVci”.
Two days later, on August 27, he announced his participation in a bill signing event with Governor Greg Abbott. In his post, Burrows stated: “Today I joined Governor @GregAbbott_TX for the signing of three major bills to protect Texas from hostile foreign enemies. Thanks to the hard work of the Texas House and the legislators who championed these efforts, Texas will now ban foreign adversaries from buying our land,”.
Later that day, Burrows commented on a tragedy outside Texas. He wrote: “Heartbroken by the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Texans are sending prayers for the victims, their families, and the entire community as they face this awful tragedy.”
Burrows has served in the Texas State House since 2015 after succeeding Charles Perry. As Speaker and legislator, he has played a prominent role in advancing key policy initiatives during special sessions.
