Dustin Burrows, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 83rd district since 2015, announced on his Twitter account several legislative changes recently enacted in Texas.

On December 3, 2025, Burrows wrote: “This week, key reforms passed by the Texas House take effect—including House Bill 25, which expands access to Ivermectin for human use and reinforces Texans’ medical freedom. By allowing pharmacists to dispense the medication without a prescription, Texans can obtain treatment”.

The following day, December 4, 2025, he highlighted education reforms: “Today begins a new chapter for Texas parents, teachers, and students as legislation takes effect to replace the STAAR test with more meaningful assessments throughout the year. Instead of one high-stakes exam, Texas schools will now start using tests at the beginning, middle, and”.

On December 5, 2025, Burrows posted a brief message referencing “GunsUp!!” .
