Downtown Sewer Project to Start Monday

On Monday, January 22, 2024, Utility Contractors of America will start construction of a large-scale sewer line replacement project in downtown Lubbock starting at the intersection of Avenue F and Main Street.

The construction route will go north on Avenue F to 9th Street, then will head west on 9th Street to Avenue K, then north on Avenue K to Mac Davis Lane, then west on Mac Davis Lane to the west side of Buddy Holly Hall where the project will end. 

This project will restrict access along the construction corridor during active construction. This portion of the sewer line project is expected to last approximately 6-7 months. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, if possible, and use the posted detours.
