Carl Tepper, a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2023 representing the 84th House district, has posted several statements on his social media account regarding government programs and national policy.
On January 3, 2026, Tepper wrote, “Can we liberate America next?” On January 5, he continued with another post: “This is needed I’m certain. Now let’s just abolish silly programs that don’t need to be subsidized.” The following day, January 6, Tepper commented further: “Another program that should be eliminated or extremely curtailed. If properly vetted very few people, genuinely handicapped, should qualify. And the antagonists shouldn’t be here to begin with.”
Tepper assumed office in the Texas State House after winning election in 2023 for District 84, succeeding John Frullo. As a member of the Republican Party, his recent comments reflect ongoing debates within state legislatures about government spending and eligibility for public assistance programs.
