WASHINGTON, D.C. – On May 25, Representative Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement applauding the Supreme Court for their decision on Sackett v. EPA, a case dealing with the scope of the Clean Water Act.

“Our Founding Fathers understood that private property is foundational to freedom. For years, Americans’ private property rights have been under attack by Democrats’ outrageous and overreaching WOTUS rule. This unconstitutional action by the Biden Administration undermines the fundamental bedrock of property rights under the auspices of regulating even the smallest puddles of water under the watchful eye of bureaucrats in Washington. Today, the Supreme Court reaffirmed Americans’ God-given right to private property and sent a strong message that the federal government cannot run roughshod on our farmers, ranchers, and landowners. And it’s about time” said Rep. Arrington.
