House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) took part in the 2025 Lubbock City-Wide Back-2-School Bash, an event aimed at supporting students in West Texas as they prepare for the new school year. The event brought together community members, local officials, and organizations including the City of Lubbock and Texas Tech University.

Arrington distributed backpacks, school supplies, and pocket constitutions to students attending the event. He stated, “Had a great time handing out backpacks, school supplies, and pocket constitutions to the next generation of West Texans this morning. The Lubbock City-Wide Back-2-School Bash was an awesome opportunity to join the City of Lubbock and Texas Tech University in giving back to the community. Good luck to everyone getting ready for another school year!”

Arrington has represented Texas’s 19th congressional district since 2016. In recent elections, he secured large majorities against his opponents. In 2024, he defeated Nathan Lewis with over 80% of the vote; similar results were seen in previous election cycles.
